Nov 17, 2009
British American Tobacco Zimbabwe (BATZ) has said it will continue to support underprivileged students by providing scholarships for tertiary education, according to a story in the Zimbabwe Herald.

Speaking at the presentation of scholarships to two University of Zimbabwe students in Harare, BATZ board member, Jeremiah Tsodzai, said business success brought with it an obligation for high standards of behavior and integrity in everything the company did and whatever the company was associated with.

Meanwhile, BAT Zimbabwe (Holdings) managing director, Lovemore Manatsa, said 52 students had so far benefited from the Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme established in 2005.
