BAT supporting Rwanda’s orphans

British American Tobacco Rwanda has paid Rwf4 million towards its contribution to the 'One Dollar' campaign for providing support for orphans of the 1994 Rwandan genocide, according to a story on Tobacco China Online.

Corporate affairs manager, Olivier Rwamasirabo, said his company was committed to supporting government initiatives aimed at improving the social welfare of Rwandans.

According to officials managing the campaign, contributions have so far reached close to Rwf1bn.

The money will be used to construct a hostel for the orphans.
