New-style smokeless product from Japan Tobacco
Mar 17, 2010—Japan Tobacco Inc. said today that it would be launching a new smokeless tobacco product called ‘Zerostyle Mint’.
The new product, which is referred to as a ‘new style snuff’, resembles a ‘smokeless cigarette’, has a tapered mouthpiece with a removable cap and is consumed by drawing air through a cartridge containing tobacco and menthol. Refill cartridges, which are individually wrapped, last for between half a day and a day, depending on the smoker.
Zerostyle Mint is said to combine the ‘fresh and sweet scent of peppermint with the aroma and flavor of tobacco’.
Sales are due to begin in the middle of May, at first exclusively in Tokyo.
The product will be available at ¥300 for the cartridge container and mouthpiece, and two refill cartridges, while four refill cartridges will be priced at ¥400.
