JT’s domestic volume down by 2.8 percent in 2015
Japan Tobacco Inc.’s domestic cigarette sales volume during December, at 9.9 billion, was down by 2.1 percent on that of December 2014, 10.2 billion, according to preliminary figures issued by the company today. The December 2014 figure was down by 2.3 percent on that of December 2013.
Volume during January-December, at 109.2 billion, was down by 2.8 percent on that of January-December 2014, 112.4 billion, which was down by 3.6 percent on that of January-December 2013.
JT’s market share stood at 60.6 percent during December, at 59.9 percent during January-December 2015, and at 60.4 percent during January-December 2014.
JT’s domestic cigarette revenue during December, at ¥55.9 billion, was down by 3.1 percent from its December 2014 level, ¥57.7 billion, which was down by 1.2 percent on its revenue of December 2013.
Revenue during January-December, at ¥618.5 billion, was down by 2.0 percent on that of January-December 2014, ¥631.1 billion, which was down by 1.3 percent on its revenue of January-December 2013.
