Dates for 2017 nicotine forum set
The fourth Global Forum on Nicotine is scheduled to be held at the Marriott Hotel Centrum, Warsaw, Poland, on June 15-17.
The organizers say that the 2017 conference, themed Reducing Harm, Saving Lives, will examine the rapidly-developing science encompassing nicotine use, and the changing nicotine landscape that is being shaped by various stakeholders and policy responses.
The program will comprise plenary sessions, symposiums, panel discussions and poster presentations – including video posters. June 15 will see the staging of satellite and side meetings, including one for consumers, organised by the International Network of Nicotine Consumer Organizations.
The formal opening of the conference is due to take place on June 16.
Meanwhile, the first International Symposium on Nicotine Technology will be held alongside the 2017 GFN. This public event will showcase the latest technical advances in alternative nicotine delivery systems, next generation devices – including electronic cigarettes, heat-not-burn and oral products – and the latest science and technology behind them. Manufacturers and distributors will demonstrate new products and discuss their development.
