While Philip Morris International CEO Andre Calantzopoulos announced recently that the company was working towards the “phase-out” of conventional cigarettes in favor of less harmful alternatives, this will not be the case in the Philippines, at least for the time being.
According to a story in Businessworld, relayed by the TMA, the communications manager at Philip Morris Fortune Tobacco (PMFT), Dave M. Gomez, said that PMFT had no immediate plans of introducing iQOS in the Philippines.
The company would grow its portfolio of conventional cigarettes in the Philippines.
