Japan Tobacco Inc.’s domestic cigarette sales volume during November, at 8.3 billion, was down by 3.5 percent on that of November 2015, 8.6 billion, according to preliminary figures issued by the company today. The November 2015 figure was down by 0.8 percent on that of November 2014.
Volume during January-November, at 96.6 billion, was down by 2.7 percent on that of January-November 2015, 99.3 billion. The January-November 2015 volume was down by 2.8 percent on that of January-November 2014.
JT’s market share stood at 61.0 percent during November and during January-November, and at 59.9 percent during January-December 2015.
JT’s domestic cigarette revenue during November, at ¥49.2 billion, was increased by 1.4 percent on its November 2015 revenue, ¥48.5 billion, which was down by 1.0 percent on its revenue of November 2014.
Revenue during January-November, at ¥566.8 billion, was increased by 0.8 percent on that of January-November 2015, ¥562.6 billion, which was down by 1.9 percent on its revenue of January-November 2014.
