TFWA registration opens

Registration for the 2017 TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition and Conference has opened and will remain open until April 6.

The event is scheduled to be held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore on May 7-11.

“While business slowed in all other areas of the world in the first nine months of 2016, Asia Pacific was the only region to show growth, gaining a substantial 10 percent and tipping the global market back into the positive, according to preliminary figures from Generation Research,” said TFWA president Erik Juul-Mortensen.

“This region therefore remains a market that must be a top priority for our business.

“Attending this event will provide delegates with the essential insight to help them thrive here.”

The organisers said that last year more than 2,900 people had attended the exhibition, up 12 percent from the 2,591 of the previous year.

A third of those attendees were said to be key buyers.

Three-hundred-and-sixty meetings were organised by the event’s ONE2ONE meeting service.

‘There are already 275 exhibitors signed up, of which 42 are new or returning after a short break, and the exhibition is expected to attract the most exciting brands from the region, as well as prominent international players,’ the organisers said in a press note.

KT&G, which has put a lot emphasis on non-domestic sales in recent years, is said to be one of the top returning corporations.
