Iran imported more than 4,000 tons of cigarette paper worth $14 million during the last Iranian year (March 2017-2018), according to data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration.
Austria, with more than $3.89 million, was the biggest supplier, followed by China, the United Arab Emirates, Spain, Germany, Switzerland and Hong Kong, the Mizan Online reported.
About 49.3 billion cigarettes were produced in Iran in the last fiscal year, up 10 percent over the previous year.
