The U.S. will produce 431.65 million pounds of flue-cured tobacco this year, estimates the National Agricultural Statistics Service in its July 2018 Crop Production report.
That is 6.3 percent down from the country’s 2017 flue-cured production, according to the agency, with North Carolina bearing the brunt of the decline.
