Joszef Fenygesi

Essentra, a supplier of specialist filters and scientific services, has appointed Jozsef Fenyvesi as general manager and Colin Fairs as development and NPI manager at its Hungarian manufacturing facility.
With 18 years’ experience in manufacturing and supply chain management, Fenyvesi has a wealth of knowledge of the industry and specializes in delivering operational excellence for European markets. Fenyvesi joins from DHL where he was also general manager.
Fairs previously was continuous improvement lead at Essentra. In his new position, he will be responsible for product development and the new product introduction process.

“I’m delighted to join Essentra within the filter division; the company is a global leader in the market and has a strong innovation proposition in the tobacco industry,” said Fenyvesi. “My aim for this role is to build and strengthen management and leadership at the Hungarian site and ensure our supply chain operates as smoothly as possible, providing our customers with the best products and services.”
“Joining the new development team is a really exciting opportunity and I look forward to working closely with Jozsef in the future,” said Fairs. “Research and innovation has always been a key part of Essentra’s vision, so being able to work in that area will be a really interesting change for me.”
Established in 2008, Essentra’s Hungary site is now a key part of the Essentra network. It focuses primarily on its European and Middle Eastern customers, both independent and multinational companies. The site’s recent establishment of its Development Centre allows Essentra to meet specific market requirements in the European region, catering directly to every customer’s needs.
With an overall capacity of more than 22 billion rods, the site currently supplies over 50 different product lines and has the capability to manufacture the vast majority of the filters within the Essentra portfolio. This includes hollow acetate tubes, capsules, multi-capsules and paper filters, in either single pass or multi segment filters for both combustible and next generation products.
