The TFWA reported on Tuesday that the build-up to its October exhibition and conference was proceeding according to schedule.
According to the report, the TFWA executive team was in Cannes supervising the final preparations for its World Exhibition & Conference, which is due to be staged in the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès on October 18-23.
‘With virtually all the damage caused by the recent severe flooding now cleared away, TFWA is pleased to report that the build-up of the event is proceeding according to schedule and that all venues will be used as planned,’ the association said in a press note.
“The board and management of TFWA have been very impressed by the speed and efficiency of our partners and the authorities in Cannes during the clean-up process following the extraordinary deluge and subsequent flooding in the city ten days ago,” said the association’s president, Erik Juul-Mortensen. “The MIPCOM show which precedes TFWA World Exhibition & Conference took place as planned last week without any major problems.
“There remain one or two issues, including the reconnection of some France Telecom landline services to certain hotels and restaurants, but we are advised that these will be resolved this week. The services in the Palais, including the internet facility, are working normally and we are looking forward to a busy and productive week.”
