New ‘deeming’ webinars from the FDA
The US Food and Drug Administration has released four new webinars as part of its ‘Deeming’ Tobacco Compliance Webinars series.
One webinar, Cigar Warning Plans, explores the health warning statement requirements for cigar packages and advertisements, and covers the submission requirements for cigar warning plans included in the deeming rule.
The packaging and advertising warning requirements are effective on May 10, 2018, but manufacturers, importers, distributors and retailers must submit warning plans for currently marketed cigars to the FDA by May 10, 2017.
The Registration and Product Listing Requirements for Domestic Establishments webinar includes information about current compliance policies, who is required to register and list, how and when to submit information, and what to include in such submissions.
The webinar, FDA’s Import Operations: How FDA Regulates Imported Products, includes compliance and effective dates for the various requirements of newly-regulated tobacco products.
And the Internet and Publication Surveillance webinar includes an overview of internet and publication surveillance, warning letters and compliance actions, and common violations.
